Guitar video should always start with playing the guitar not talking. Take the first 10-15 seconds to show us the rythym we'll be learning and then talk. I'm 1:30 into the video and I still don't know what the rythym sounds like at speed and now I'm leaving.

throw up chord charts in post. It help so much, and honestly, when I don't see them in instruction videos, I skip out and find another. Great video and nice instruction. I am zooming in trying to figure out fingers, when a simple chart in post, would help, and keep me on channel.

Wow Thank you soon much! My son was this amazing singer/ songwriter, he was able to put 3 songs out on Spotify before he passed away in 2020 at 26 yrs old. So to honor him, I have dedicated much of my time since 2021, trying to learn how to play the guitar. And I have really been struggling with barr chords. You have just given me the best gift and I thank you from the bottom of my heart..Really!! My daughter also plays, she also cannot play barrier chords, and will avoid all songs with them in it, which is sad because she loves to play, and has such a beautiful voice! I am going to send her your video!!

Not mentioned, you need to mute the high E string playing the high riff or it'll sound awful.

I just transpose the song to get F out of it. Same thing with B. I'm not music expert, I use software to transpose. For example, I transposed a song that was Dm, F, C, Dm by transposing to Em, G, D, Em. My singing is so bad that it does not matter what key I'm playing in. If I'm playing with a diva singer that insists on some weird key, I just use a capo. I did like your tip about putting the index finger between the fist and second strings. I do notice that you have a video for Bb, so you're hitting worthwhile topics.

For me, using the thumb on the sixth string makes it easier because it's a natural way of gripping things.

Good advice. I broke my wrist a few years back. I had to find alternative methods to Not have yo play too many bar chords.
